Plans are starting to fall into place for 2010. Here’s what we know so far.
Arizona Cup - The National Team will use this as both a camp and competition. Great Britain and Canada will have para athletes at the tournament, and it will be a World Ranking Event. Several para athletes who are hoping to make the National Team are also planning on attending.
The European Grand Prix - We will be taking a team to the European Grand Prix. We are limited to three people per category. We are taking the six members of the National Team who placed in the top ten at the World Championships, and we will be able to take a few other people. We will determine who those people will be based on performances at Star FITAs shot from the beginning of the World Championships to the ending of the Arizona Cup.
Endeavor Games - The Endeavor Games are held at the University of Central Oklahoma. They will be June 10-13. More information is here . This is a great first time event, and there will be both an indoor and outdoor competition.
Camps - We will be doing a camp at the end of June to prepare for the European Grand Prix. I hope that we get the funding to be able to do two or three more camps that will be open to all para-athletes.
I’ll post more information as I know it! Please email me if you have questions.

This doesn’t mean they will always win, but they are prepared for and can handle anything that may come up - weather, travel difficulties, less than perfect teammates, unexpected results - with respect for everyone and grace under pressure.

Ready to dominate means the team is totally ready to compete. They are prepared for the competition; they have planned ahead for known distractions; and they have backup plans for unforeseen obstacles.

Pure awesomeness is an attitude that comes from the confidence developed by being both invincible and ready to dominate. It is being proud to represent the USA; having the courage that allows one to risk; the self discipline that leads one to excellence; the integrity and wisdom that come from being among the very best; and the ability to respect both teammates and competitors.

Hopefully, it will be a painless move, with most athletes not even knowing that it happened! The National team will be known as the Para-USAT.
The new High Performance Plan should be out very soon; it’s very similar to the 2009 Plan. I’ll add a link as soon as it is available.

Priority will go to athletes on the World Championships team, but there should be some extra spots. Cost will be $45 per night, plus your transportation to and from San Diego.
The extra spots will be open on a first come basis. However, in order to attend this camp, you must have shot either a 70 meter round or a full FITA.
You can contact me by using the button below.
